Side snow plough for maximum snow clearing efficiency

The SPB side snow plough is designed for professional snow clearing of motorways and other wide traffic surfaces. Mounted on the right-hand side of the carrier vehicle, it works together with the front snow plough to significantly increase the clearing width, allowing two traffic lanes to be cleared in a single pass.

This configuration considerably increases winter maintenance efficiency, reduces clearing time and minimises the number of passes required. For maximum performance, we recommend using it in combination with the RPS 5P front snow plough.

Compact design for safe transport

The SPB is a hydraulically operated side snow plough with lifting, lowering, wing opening and wing folding functions. During transport, the plough folds alongside the vehicle, allowing safe passage through toll stations, underpasses, narrow sections and other road infrastructure without additional adjustments.

Protection system

The protection system is based on spring-loaded trip flaps and supporting elements in the form of skids or wheels. The springs ensure constant contact between the cutting edge and the road surface, while the trip flaps allow the plough to safely pass over obstacles. After passing an obstacle, the cutting edges automatically return to their working position, ensuring continuous and high-quality snow clearing.

The SPB side snow plough significantly increases the working width without increasing the number of vehicles or passes. Together with the front plough, it efficiently clears two traffic lanes simultaneously, resulting in:

Hydraulic control

The plough is hydraulically controlled via the carrier vehicle’s control lever. If required, it can also be equipped with its own electro-hydraulic system (EHS), enabling operation on vehicles without an integrated hydraulic system.

Mounting on vehicles

The SPB is mounted on the right-hand side of the vehicle using a specially designed side mounting plate. The mounting system ensures reliable load transfer to the vehicle chassis while allowing quick installation and removal of the plough.

Selection of cutting edges for different surfaces

The SPB snow plough is supplied as standard with wear-resistant steel cutting edges. Rubber, polyurethane and combined cutting edges are also available for different surface types, ensuring efficient snow clearing on more sensitive pavements.
