Features

Virtus AST is a 100% liquid spreader. Its modular tank system allows maximum adjustment to the vehicle’s center of gravity. Specially designed nozzles ensure even and precise liquid spreading at high speeds up to 90 km/h. Accurate dosing, fast spreading, and robust, proven components make it ideal for liquid spreading on highways and other large surfaces.

All components are designed for fast, safe, and efficient operation. Hydraulic and electrical systems are protected within an enclosed space. The telescopic hopper allows adjustable length, operable by a single person, while the integrated ladder provides easy access for maintenance. The cover, which opens across the full width, facilitates access and maintenance.

The system has been developed in cooperation with service specialists, ensuring easy maintenance. Integrated safety guardrails and flexible mounting options allow proper weight distribution of the vehicle. Control points are safely accessible, and the spreader responds quickly to changing weather conditions—even during operation.

The system allows independent operation and automatic adjustment of spreading volume according to driving speed, increasing efficiency, safety, and spreading accuracy.

Drive and Control

The Virtus AST spreader can be powered by the vehicle’s hydraulic system or its own gasoline engine, providing flexibility according to vehicle configuration and user requirements. It is controlled via the advanced EpoMaster control system, designed for professional users.

EpoMaster includes a range of advanced software-supported functions that can be used individually or as an integrated system. Despite the wide range of features, the controls remain clear and focused on driving safety. Intuitive menu structure, clear symbols, and user-friendly buttons enable rapid training of new operators and efficient operation in all weather conditions.

Advanced EpoMaster system features for smart and efficient spreading:

• EpoTherm – automatically adjusts spreading volume according to temperature.
• EpoSat – GPS-controlled spreading along pre-defined routes for accuracy and material optimization.
• EpoSat Web App – web application for managing spreading routes directly from the office.
• EpoData – web-based solution for data collection, reporting, and fleet management.
• EpoData also allows sending EpoSat routes directly to the spreader from the office.
• Navigation – precise route and direction display, voice guidance, and “return to route” function to assist the operator.

Anti-Corrosion Protection

Surface treatment includes sandblasting, rust protection with a two-component zinc primer, and a topcoat finish according to the user’s desired RAL color.
