Characteristics
Sirius AST spreader developed for the spreading of airport runways and large areas. Very little active material is required to fight frost and the use of an aqueous solution makes the spreading more effective. The spreading is carried out via two spreading discs, which allow spreading in the range of 4–24m. The spreading width can be set in 2m increments for dry or pre-wetted spreading. When spreading the liquid, the nozzles in the centre (4m) are always turned on. Two side frames of 5.5m with nozzles can be switched on together or separately.
Corrosion protection
Surface treatment consists of sandblasting, rust protection with two-component zinc base powder and two-component surface finish.
Drive and control
The spreader is driven by the vehicle’s hydraulic system or its own petrol engine. It is controlled by a modern remote control in the vehicle’s cabin.
