Features

The iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher is a professional solution for slope mulching, mowing steep embankments, roadside vegetation maintenance and operation in hard-to-access areas. The iCUT 3.4 model, powered by a 40 hp, and the iCUT 3.6 model, powered, combine high performance, stability and safe remote control operation, making them ideal for municipalities, road maintenance contractors, infrastructure maintenance companies and professional vegetation management on slopes, green areas and demanding terrain.

Remote control operation

Remote control operation of the iCUT robotic mulcher

Operator safety is one of the key advantages of the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher. The remote control unit, with an operating range of up to 150–200 m, allows safe operation from a distance and reduces operator exposure to noise, exhaust gases, vibrations and flying debris such as vegetation or stones. This is particularly important when working on steep slopes, riverbanks, embankments, channels and other difficult-to-access locations.

Two control joysticks provide precise control of travel direction, machine movement and working head position. The ergonomic controller allows machine start-up, speed adjustment, steering sensitivity settings and precise operation according to working conditions and user requirements.

The control console includes numerous machine monitoring functions: emergency stop button, coolant and oil temperature indicators, remote control battery status, engine oil pressure monitoring, fuel level indicator, air filter restriction indicator, floating system activation, transport or working speed selection and activation of the self-cleaning fan.

Stage V engine

iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher Stage V

The iCUT is powered by a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled turbo diesel engine designed for professional use in demanding operating conditions. The engines comply with Stage V emission standards, ensuring efficient operation, reduced emissions and reliable daily performance.

Cooling is provided by the reliable FLEXXAIRE system with controlled reversible fan blades. The system helps keep the radiator clean, improves cooling efficiency, supports optimum engine performance and contributes to lower fuel consumption.

Diagnostics

Engine diagnostics of the iCUT robotic mulcher

The diagnostic system of the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher automatically detects faults and immediately displays corrective actions. For additional support, a Murphy Chart monitoring device is fitted as standard, providing a comprehensive overview of powertrain diagnostic information.

This allows the operator to quickly identify potential issues and select the most appropriate solution. The large display provides a clear overview of all essential operating parameters of the iCUT machine.

Mulcher for slopes and steep terrain

iCUT robotic mulcher for slopes and steep terrain

The iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher is designed for safe operation in demanding environments where slopes can reach up to 55° in any direction. Exceptional stability is achieved through a low centre of gravity, advanced machine design and various track options that provide excellent traction on different surfaces.

In demanding conditions where additional stability and safety are required, the undercarriage can be hydraulically widened to increase the overall track width.

Track width extension on the iCUT robotic mulcher

When increased ground traction is required, the operator can adjust the track width from 132 cm to 167 cm directly from the remote control. The process is quick, simple and can be completed within seconds.

Automatic track tensioning system

iCUT automatic track tensioning system

The automatic track tensioning system ensures that the tracks always operate with the correct tension specified by FERRI. The system simplifies track maintenance and replacement while contributing to longer track life and increased durability of other machine components.

The system consists of a hydraulic valve assembly that ensures reliable operation even under the most demanding working conditions.

Tracks for the remote-controlled robotic mulcher

Three different track types are available to ensure safe, efficient and stable operation in various terrain conditions:

EXTREME

EXTREME track for the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher

Rubber tracks with a deep tread pattern are suitable for operation on moderately steep slopes. They provide excellent traction while minimizing damage to grass-covered surfaces.

GRIP

GRIP track for the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher

Rubber tracks with steel studs provide enhanced traction on rocky, uneven or demanding terrain where standard rubber tracks may be more susceptible to damage.

GRIP PLUS

GRIP PLUS track for the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher

Tracks equipped with steel cleats and studs are designed for extreme operating conditions where maximum traction, durability and reliable performance are required on steep slopes and challenging terrain.

iCUT front arm suspension system

iCUT remote-controlled robotic mower

The advanced hydro-pneumatic floating system is the result of years of development and enables the use of attachments of different weights and dimensions while maintaining optimal balance between the machine and the implement. In practice, the system allows the attachment to accurately follow ground contours, reduce friction and prevent harmful stress on the machine structure.

Mulching heads

R1300 and RH1600 hydraulic mulching heads

R1300 and RH1600 hydraulic mulching heads for iCUT

The grass mulching head equipped with Y blades is available in two working widths, 1.3 m and 1.6 m, providing increased productivity when maintaining green areas. It is recommended for mowing grass, weeds, undergrowth and shrubs.

RF-R 1300 hydraulic forestry mulching head

RF-R 1300 hydraulic forestry mulching head for iCUT

The RF-R forestry mulcher features an improved design that provides a robust structure, increased durability and enhanced impact resistance. The head can be equipped with rotors featuring different cutting tools, including single-sided hammers, double-sided hammers or fixed teeth for the most demanding forestry applications. The reinforced housing and the use of DOMEX 700 steel for the internal subframe result in a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and durable construction.

Attachments for the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher

Additional attachments for the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher

The iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher maximizes equipment utilization and enables year-round operation. Thanks to a wide range of attachments, the machine is suitable for forestry, maintenance of public and private green areas, landscaping, winter road maintenance and material handling applications.

CEJN Multi-X quick couplings

CEJN Multi-X hydraulic quick couplings for the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher

Optional CEJN Multi-X hydraulic quick couplings enable significantly faster attachment connection and disconnection. The system combines multiple hydraulic lines into a single connection, allowing safe, simple and efficient operation with a single coupling action. This solution reduces attachment changeover time, minimizes the risk of incorrect connections and increases overall productivity.

CEJN Multi-X couplings are particularly suitable for operators who frequently switch between different attachments, enabling rapid sequential use of multiple implements without unnecessary downtime.

Side-shift system

Side-shift system for the iCUT mulching head

The side-shift kit is available as an optional feature for the R1300 mowing head. With a lateral movement range of 20 + 20 cm, it enables efficient operation in areas that would otherwise be difficult to reach, such as riverbanks, drainage channels, road edges and other confined locations.

Additional equipment

For even greater safety and versatility, the iCUT remote-controlled robotic mulcher can be equipped with additional options such as a ROLL BAR, FLASHING BEACON and HEADLIGHTS kit.

The Roll Bar provides additional machine protection when operating on demanding terrain and near obstacles. The flashing beacon improves machine visibility and increases safety when working alongside roads, on construction sites and in other high-traffic environments. The LED headlights kit ensures effective illumination of the work area and enables safe operation in low-light conditions or during early morning and evening work.

Additional equipment improves safety, visibility and machine versatility, allowing even more efficient operation in all weather and terrain conditions.
