Characteristics

The Hilltip IceStriker 1600-7000 Polyethylene Electric Spreader is designed for 4.5-18 ton trucks. It offers you the choice between the feed mechanism – screw or chain conveyor. It is composed of a lightweight polyethylene container and stainless steel parts, ensuring long-term corrosion protection. This model enables equally effective spreading of salt and sand, while reducing costs and negative environmental impacts, contributing to maintaining high standards in ice removal. An innovative salt spreading system on the truck, connected to the control system, not only reduces environmental impact and costs but also achieves excellent results in ice removal.

Optional Liquid Functions

The salt spreader’s storage can easily be converted into a full liquid spreader for de-icing or a pre-wet combined salt spreader. Built-in double-wall reservoirs in the housing can hold up to 1400 liters of liquid. The spreader can optionally be equipped with a 2-meter spray boom and/or a hose reel with a manual spray nozzle. Modular IceStriker™ spreaders with capacities ranging from 2600 to 7000 liters can also be equipped with additional liquid tanks (1000 liters per tank).

StrikeSmart Control

The StrikeSmart controller is a standard feature for IceStriker spreaders. The color controller screen allows you to adjust spreading based on your current situation. Automatic GPS speed control adjusts the amount of spreading material (g/m²) according to your vehicle’s speed, while manual mode lets you input a fixed auger speed. Additionally, the controller collects and stores essential data on a USB memory stick, enabling you to create detailed reports. The controller also facilitates toggling features like vibrator, alert, and work lights from the cabin interior.

HTrack Tracking System

With tracking software, you can monitor and manage all your spreaders on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. The HTrack system provides a two-way GPRS communication channel, informing the driver of areas to treat during operation. Usage rates can be remotely adjusted for each area based on weather conditions, allowing the driver to focus on completing operations quickly and safely. HTrack allows users to create job sites for their customers’ areas, accurately displaying the processed area’s size and the amount of required material.
