Characteristics
The KK crane caisson mower is a professional and reliable solution for mowing grass, shrubs and similar vegetation in areas along roads and canals. The range of up to 7.3 meters enables mowing on various hard to reach surfaces. The mower is also available as KK 8S with the option of vacuuming the grass into a suitable container. The cutting head on the crane arm can be replaced with any of the additional implements, increasing usability to cleaning the roadside trenches, dumping snow or cutting branches.
Drive and control
The mower has a hydraulic unit powered via the PTO shaft to drive the control system of the levers and the rotor on the cutting head or other implement. Hydraulic unit circuits of the vehicle can also be used. The mower is equipped with an advanced proportional steering system with a single-hand joystick and a Riko iCom LCD colour control panel. The mower is operated by a co-driver (also a driver) from the vehicle’s cabin.

Installation and mounting options
The KK mower can be mounted on various vehicles with a caisson (especially of Unimog family). To increase the stability of the vehicle during mowing, a counterweight is installed to the left of the hitch frame and the rear axle is hydraulically stabilised at the same time.
Safety system
The protection of the mower against mechanical damage when an obstacle is encountered is carried out between the hinges of the levers and the frame with a hydraulic roller and hydraulic accumulator. The cutting head or other implements move away from the obstacle and return to their original position themselves. A RIKOSLED tracking system is an option located between the second lever and the cutting head, allowing automatic adapting to uneven terrain.
